To find this restaurant, take the road from Benitachell to Javea Arenal beach (a mile after Benitachell and turn right with the sign for L'Scala to your right), when you arrive to the first t-junction, then turn left and the restaurant is about 50 yards to the left.

You will be warmly received by the owner and chef "Margheritina Salvatore, known as" Toto " by its customers and friends. An Italian, native of Cerdena, discovered his passion for cooking at the Hotel Termius of Antwerpen (Belgium), where he also met his wife Lesile Caron. Their rustic themed restaurant has a with warm fireplace and natural stone walls.

Specialities include bacon, duck liver Pate natural cordon of risotto or Balsamic Vieira and Belgium in mussels in white wine.The presentation of the grilled cod with tomato confit or Cochineal cord and red wine in "La Rural" is a delight. Also recommended are the Magret of Duck with orange and the Steak Tartar. A homemade cake, Paco Torreblanca and Balsamic Ice Cream with cream berries will round off a brilliant gourmet evening meal.

The wine list comes with wines of the best wine regions of Spain and some excellent Italian wines.

The restaurant "La Rustica is a member of ARX (Association of Restauradores Xàbia) and is present in the Michelin Guide and the Guide Aguilar of El Pais.
